Abrasive-blast clean
Abrasive-blast clean is the most effective way to prepare the surface before painting. During abrasive-blast cleaning, the structure surface is fully cleaned from contaminations and old paints, and the required roughness is created for better coating-metal adherence.
Many VMP anticorrosive materials should be applied on metal or concrete surface prepared, exactly, by abrasive-blast clean up to 1 or 2 degree under GOST 9.402-2004 (Sa 2 1/2 or Sa 2 under ISO 8501-1:2007).
Such surface preparation ensures long working life of the coating.
If abrasive-blast clean is impossible or inappropriate, mechanical or hand clean shall be applied.
