Anticorrosion coatings VMP

All installations are exposed to negative effects of climatic and technological factors. VMP standard anticorrosive coating systems

Anticorrosive coating system may consist of one or several painting layers. High-solid primer-enamels are applied to create thick coatings. Standard two-layered systems consist of primer and enamel for additional protection barrier and decorative function. Three-layered protective coatings (primer, interlayer and UV-resistant enamel) are the most effective against corrosion. Three-layered anticorrosive coating has high protective properties and long working life (up to 30 years).

The VMP anticorrosive coating characteristics

Anticorrosive coating systems based on the VMP materials are different in protection principles and developed for different application conditions.

Zinc-filled primers are especially important in the VMP anticorrosive coatings. High content of zinc powder – up to 96% – ensures long-term, up to 30 years, metal protection against corrosion. Coatings based on the zinc-filled primers under ISO 12944 guarantee maximum operating period of constructions in atmospheric conditions.

The systems based on primers with the inhibitors, that inhibit steel corrosion, provide long and average operating life. Isolated-type primers and primer-enamels with different working life are also well represented in the Holding product line.

The VMP offer the materials that can be applied on the surface with old painting and tightly adherent rust, if high-quality preparation is not possible or economically unviable. Such materials provide 1.5 – 2 times decrease in repair expenses due to surface preparation cost reduction.

The VMP offer the most effective materials for application in plant or field conditions. The first ones have short drying time (20-30 minutes). For field painting, the coatings should be applied at high humidity and negative temperatures (up to -25° С) to prolong painting season. Accounting of material application conditions prevents anticorrosive coating defects, ensures decrease in bringing-into-service period and reduces labor and energy costs during painting.

Now, workability and application safety become important criteria to choose anticorrosive materials. Paints and varnishes applied to achieve necessary coating thick with minimum layers are very popular. The VMP offer such materials too.

Many clients require anticorrosive coating with high decorative properties. The VMP finishing enamels ensure reliable barrier protection against aggressive environment, they are colored according to RAL, from matt to glossy.
