SOLV-EP®

Description

Mixture of hydrocarbonic and oxygen-containing volatile organic liquids.
Two brands are produced: SOLV-EP, SOLV-EP 02.

Recommended use

• It is used to dilute epoxy paint materials produced by the VMP Holding (ISOLEP-mastic, ISOLEP-mio, ISOLEP-oil, ISOLEP-primer, ISOLEP-hydro, ZINEP);
• to wash equipment;
• to degrease metal surfaces in preparation for painting according to GOST 9.402.

Storage and Handling

The thinner is packed in metal barrels or tin cans.
Storage conditions of the thinner – in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at air temperature from minus 40 to plus 40 °C). The container with the thinner shall be protected from atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.
Shelf life of the thinner in hermetically enclosed original container is 24 months starting with the manufacture date.

Safety Precautions

When working with the thinner, one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.
One shall use personal protective equipment (goggles, face masks and respirators) and avoid inhalation of vaporation and contact of the thinner with skin, eye mucosa, respiratory channels; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.
The thinner is classified as a fire-hazardous material.
