ISOLEP®-pro

Description

Two-component polyamide cured epoxy primer with high penetration and adhesion promoters for concrete.

Recommended use

Designed to protect concrete and reinforced concrete structures operating in the atmosphere and in contact with liquid media, in zones of complete immersion and variable level. It is used as a primer layer before applying the main paint coating.

When applied to concrete and reinforced concrete structures, it is well absorbed and strengthens surface layer of concrete. Can be used as a stand-alone coating removing dust from the concrete surface.

Can be used as an intermediate layer in coating systems to improve interlayer adhesion, as well as a primer (adhesive) layer with polyurethane-based sealants.

ISOLEP-pro is recommended for application in coating systems with VMP protective coatings:
ISOLEP-mastic, ISOLEP-hydro, ISOLEP-mio, POLYTON-UR, VINICOR-62 and with other epoxy, vinyl-epoxy and polyurethane top coats.

Surface preparation

Concrete surface prepared for application of paint and varnish coating in accordance with SP 72.13330.2016, must be uniformly rough and free from protruding reinforcement, cracks, potholes, cavities, sagging, chipped ribs, oil stains, dirt and dust.

Work order:

• remove dirt, oil and grease contamination;

• remove the top layer (cement laitance) by abrasive blasting (preferably), mechanical abrasive cleaning (grinding machine, etc.) or hydroblasting high pressure (at least 200 atm);

• remove dust.

Age of the concrete base (after laying concrete or after applying leveling agents) mixtures) before applying the primer must be at least 28 days.

Residual moisture in the surface layer of 20 mm should not exceed 4%.

The substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.

There should be no visible traces of moisture on the surface.

Application

• stir the base to a homogeneous condition before application;
• add a curing agent and mix 2-3 min (mixing ratio of a base and a curing agent 100:19 by mass, respectively), after mixing, the ISOLEP-pro is ready for application;

Storage and handling

ISOLEP-pro is supplied as the base in 20 and curing Agent in 3 litre metal containers.

Storage conditions – according to GOST 9980.5.

ISOLEP-pro must be stored in sealed package of manufacturer at air temperature from minus 40 to plus 40 °C, away from heating sources, protected from atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.

The primer must be transported in accordance with the requirements GOST 9980.5 at ambient temperature from minus 40 to plus 40 ° C.

The shelf life of components is 36 months starting with the manufacture date.

Precautions

When working with ISOLEP-pro one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.

ISOLEP-pro is intended for professional use.
