Corrosion protection of metal and concrete structures is important for construction and reconstruction of power facilities.

The VMP produces industrial protective materials of vast scope of application and develops complex anticorrosive coating systems for power facilities on their base.

PROTECTION OF GENERATION FACILITIES

The VMP Holding has wide range of products and can offer coating systems for anticorrosive protection of different energy generation objects. The coating is chosen in accordance with operating conditions of protected object.

The VMP coatings are applied for protection of metal, concrete, reinforced concrete structures and equipment used:

• in open atmosphere;
• inside premises;
• at high temperature (up to 350 ^оС);
• in variable water level area and at full immersion.

The VMP developed special radiation-resistant and decontaminable coatings for metal structures of nuclear power industry objects.

Characteristics of the VMP anticorrosive coatings:

• series of coatings are allowed for all-season application and application at poorly-prepared surface.

Protection of power transmission lines

Construction and maintenance of power transmission lines are strategically important for any country. Atmosphere corrosion protection ensures reliability and durability of high-voltage lines. "Cold" galvanizing is a popular technology of power transmission line anticorrosive protection. Zinc-rich coating application ensures reliable and durable protection of steel structures.

The VMP Holding developed coatings with zinc-rich primers for power transmission line protection. ZINOL+ALPOLcoating system is the most popular. Coating characteristics: long working life, all-season application (from – 15 ^оС to + 40 ^оС), quick drying of materials.

Other VMP coatings are also applied for painting of power transmission lines.

PROTECTION OF HEAT SYSTEMS

Heat systems' facilities are used in environment with high corrosivity. Pipelines, water reservoirs and tanks in domestic water supply systems are exposed to corrosion and, as a result, accelerated breakage.

Two types of corrosion are common to heat systems: external and internal. Application of anticorrosive coating materials is allowed for pipeline outer surface protection.  

Heat system pipeline protection

The VMP recommends to apply ISOLEP-mastic epoxy and VINICOR vinyl-epoxy primer-enamels for corrosion protection of the outer surface of new and repaired heat system pipelines. The VMP coatings ensure required corrosion protection and durable accident-free operation of heat system facilities. Coating characteristics: long working life, technological effectiveness, allowed application on tightly adherent rust and old paints.

Protection of tanks

The VMP recommends to apply ZFES zinc-filled ethyl-silicate composition for corrosion protection of heat system tanks and reservoirs, hot water storage tanks. Coating characteristics: accelerated drying time, all-season application, fresh water resistance, technological effectiveness.
