VINICOR®-acryl-51 primer-enamel

Description

Single-component primer-enamel based on polyacrylic resins, contains anti-corrosive pigments.
Can be applied directly to the metal without precoating (“direct-to-metal”  –  DTM coating type). It combines protective characteristics of primer and high-decorative qualities of enamel, resists to UV-radiation.

Recommended use 

Anticorrosive  protection of new and repairable  carbon steel structures,  used  in the  atmospheric conditions  off all macroclimate areas, types of atmosphere and placement categories according to GOST 15150.
It is used as:

• independent coating;
• finishing  coat  in complex coating systems with  VINICOR-ecoprime  (TU 2312-002-67503963-2011),  ISOLEP-primer  (TU  2312-067-12288779-2008),  ISOLEP-mastic (TU 20.30.12-065-12288779-2017) primers, as well as with other epoxy-based primers. Surface preparation

When used as an independent coating:

• to degrease metal surface to grade not less than 1 according to GOST 9.402;
• to remove scale, corrosion and old paint by abrasive blast  cleaning  to  grade  not less than 2 according to GOST 9.402  (Sa 2 1/2  according to ISO 8501-1). Preparing to Sa 2  grade  is  acceptable depending on further operating conditions. Surface roughness 20-40 µm (ISO 8503-2 segment from 1 to 2 excluding 2).  It  is allowed  a  hand tool  cleaning up to  not less than  2  grade  according to GOST 9.402 (St 2 according to ISO 8501-1).
• to remove dust.

The coating must be dry, clean, oil and dust shall be removed  before application  the second layer or in cases when the primer-enamel VINICOR-acryl used as a finishing layer in complex coating.

Application 

• mix the primer-enamel thoroughly to homogenous condition before application;
• if necessary, the composition should be diluted to the working viscosity.

The material is recommended to be applied  in the plant  and field  conditions at temperature  from minus  5 to  plus  35  °C  and  relative  air  humidity  not more than 85  %.  The temperature of the painted surface must be above the dew point by at least 3 °C. Prepared primer-enamel shall be of temperature at least 15 °C.
The primer-enamel  is recommended to be applied in 1-2 layers using airless,  conventional  (air) spray or by brush/roller.

Storage and handling

The material is packed in metal buckets.
Storage conditions  –  in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at air temperature from minus 40 to  plus 40  °C). The material components shall be stored  away from heat sources, the container  shall be protected from direct sunlight and atmospheric condensation.
The shelf life of the primer-enamel is 12 months starting with the manufacture date.

Precautions

When working with the primer-enamel, one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.
One shall use personal protective equipment (goggles, face masks and respirators) and avoid inhalation of thinners and contact of the composition or its components with skin, eye mucosa, respiratory channels; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.
The material and its components (base and hardener) are fire-hazardous!
