VINICOR®-62 type B

Description

Double-packed epoxy-vinyl enamel.

Recommended use 

Protective and decorative painting of  anticorrosive  coating systems of ship structures, used in sea and fresh water, including underwater and above-water body, boot topping, metal deck, tanks, deep tanks, battery rooms and other metal  structures  used  in atmospheric  conditions of all macroclimate  areas, atmosphere types and placement categories according to GOST 15150.  Coating: oil-,  gasoline-proof, resistant to spills of oil and petroleum products, sea and fresh water, short-term exposure to hot water and steam, aggressive environments, sudden temperature changes (from minus 60 to plus 60 °C).
Used as a finishing layer in complex coating systems with VINICOR-061 (TU 20.30.12-001-54359536-2018), VINICOR-marine (TU 20.30.12-004-67503963-2018), VINICOR-ecoprime (TU 2312-002-67503963-2011) primers, with VINICOR-63 (TU 2313-007-67503963-2013) varnish, as well as with other  primers on 
vinyl-epoxy and epoxy bases.

State registration certificate No. RU. 78.01.06.008.Е.000564.12.18 dated 11.12.2018 It has a certificate of voluntary certification system of the Russian River Register No. POCC RU.PO00.H00269.

Surface preparation

The surface prepared for applying varnish coat should be cleaned from dirt, degreased, if necessary, dust and moisture shall be removed.

Application 

• mix the base thoroughly to homogenous condition before application;
• with constant stirring, add a hardener to the base and mix thoroughly.

The mixing ratio of the base and hardener EN-02, EN-03 (by mass) 100:2.46 respectively;

• if necessary, the composition should be diluted to the working viscosity.

The material is recommended  to be applied  in the plant  and field  conditions, dark colors at temperature  from  minus  10  to  plus  35  °C  and light colors at temperature from minus 5 to plus  35 °C at relative air humidity not more than 85 %.
The temperature of the painted surface shall be above the dew point by at least 3 °C. 
Prepared enamel shall be of temperature at least 15 °C.
The enamel  is recommended to be applied in  2-3  layers using airless,  conventional  (air) spray  by brush/roller.
The overlapping interval  between the layers of enamel at a temperature  (20±2)°C  –  not less than 3 hours. Hardening time depends on the temperature of the surface and ambient air, degree of dilution of the material, thickness of the coating, efficiency of ventilation and relative air humidity.
Holding time  of the coating  before operating in aggressive conditions is not less than 7 days at temperature from 15 to 22 °С.

Storage and handling

The material  is delivered in packages: base and hardener packed in metal buckets and metal cans respectively depending on the set weight.
Storage conditions of the  enamel components –  according to GOST 9980.5 (at air temperature from minus 40 to plus 40  °C). The container shall be protected from atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.
The shelf life  is determined by warranty storage of the base (24 months) and hardener ( 12 months) starting with the manufacture date.

Precautions

When working with  the  material,  one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.
One shall use personal protective equipment (goggles, face masks and respirators) and avoid inhalation of  thinners  and contact of the composition  or its components  with skin, eye mucosa, respiratory channels; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.
The material and its components (base and hardener) are fire-hazardous!
